600 Pageviews!

Sorry for the slightly delayed post- I've been busy working on making a new tack set. It consists of a bareback pad, bridle, girth, and English breastplate. It is designed to fit the breyer traditional bristol mold. Enjoy!

Sorry for the bad lighting- I'm still figuring out my photo setup
I've also been painting a little bit. My most recent custom is a breyer...well, I don't know what she is, but she's bigger than SM scale and smaller than schleich. I painted her to a dark bay/black appaloosa.
I don't have any indoor pictures of her, so here's a picture from the mini photoshoot that I did with her.
That's all for now!

Wow! I can't believe that my blog has already gotten 450 views over the past 2(?)  months! Thank you so much everybody! this really means a lot to me. πŸ’œ I think that for my next big milestone I will attempt to make some sort of tack to commemorate the occasion. Please let me know what you would like to see! My best idea at the moment is a blanket, but I am definitely open to suggestions :)

Happy Easter!

I've been a bad blogger lately. *hides*

I was doing fairly well with posting semi-frequently, then life got in the way. Sorry about that! I guess I don't know if anyone is even reading this, or if it's even worth it to keep writing if nobody is. If you are reading this, and you enjoy it, please let me know! Your comments mean a lot. πŸ’œ

Anyways, on a lighter note, I've been working on my tack/feed room thing. I'm pretty happy with it so far! Let me know what you think of it. πŸ™‚  I promise that I'll write a longer post soon, but for now, I'm gonna call this good enough.

Until next time!

Friday photo finish: NaMoPaiMo model WIP pictures!

Since I didn't have this blog when I first started painting my NaMoPaiMo model, I didn't have a chance to share some of my WIP pictures. Oh well, better late than never, right? Enjoy!

The earliest WIP picture of all- still in the box!

Filling in weird holes and divots

First layer of pastels!

I ended up stripping him and starting over since he was so yellow, so please forgive the time jump
My favorite method of painting is an acrylic base, then pastel on top of that. Also, please ignore the background.
I hope that y'all enjoyed the glimpse into what my painting process looks like. That's all for now!

My first resculpt!

The other day I decided to try resculpting, and I am so happy with how it turned out! My epoxy A&B ratio was off, so I'm gonna need to redo part of it, but I DONT CARE!!! he starter out as a breyer...well, I don't know what scale he is, but he was originally Boomerang from the Spirit: Riding Free TV show.
I don't know where the rider went, but you get the idea.

Anyways, I decided to turn him into a classic scale Miniature Horse, so I cut of his mane, forelock, and ears, and began sculpting! I started by adding some thickness to his neck, because it was weirdly small. I then added some bulk to his barrel, added a roached mane, ears, and a stringy 'lil forelock. I also added some bulk to his cheeks, since his face was pretty thin. I stupidly forgot to take progress pictures, but I do have a picture of what he currently looks like. As I said, he's not perfect, but considering that he's my first resculpt, I'm pretty pleased!
Here's his "near" side...

his "off" side...

and his face! Apologies for the messy desk πŸ˜…

Sorry I haven't posted much this week- life got in the way. I've had a cold for WEEKS now, and I had to go to Urgent Care on Monday since I was having pretty bad chest pain- don't worry, I'm doing better now 😊
That's all for now!

One of my readers suggested that I write a post about my collection, so here it is! I mainly collect Classics, but I do have a few Traditionals. Please note that this does not include most of my WIPs. I will write a post about them at a later date. Enjoy!

NaMoPaiMo side project (sort of)

So, after I finished my NaMoPaiMo model, I decided to start adding hair details to an OF classic Selle FranΓ§ais. I am less than halfway done, but I'm so happy with how she looks so far!

Please ignore the fact that this picture was taken in front of a random wall

I'm very new to this whole blogging thing, so please let me know what you would or would not like to see on this blog. Your feedback matters!

That's all for now!
